Biographical Sketch

 Ge Huiqing, M.D./RT, Director, Professor and Chief Physician of the Department of Respiratory Therapy. Dr. Ge has engaged in clinical practice, teaching and scientific research of respiratory therapy for more than 20 years. She has extensive clinical experience in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of respiratory treatment-related diseases, and the individualization of mechanical ventilation strategies for critically ill patients with respiratory failure. She also focuses on respiratory mechanics and diaphragmatic dysfunction and respiratory treatment and diagnosis of patients with difficult weaning. Besides, she is good at providing respiratory rehabilitation servicesof chronic respiratory diseases for perioperative patients. In 2007 and 2015 she studied in the United States respectively. In 2014, she was awarded the "Annual Award for Adult Critical Respiratory Treatment" by the American Society for Respiratory Therapy (AARC). In terms of scientific research, she has published more than 30 SCI papers and edited 11 professional books. Furthermore, She has hosted and participated in project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation and many other projects.
