The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) has advanced and full-fledged hardware facilities and adopts the design of a small compartment full crane tower. It is equipped with 100,000-class air purification laminar flow and 2 standard independent negative pressure infection wards. The department also boasts the first-class Philips real-time central network monitoring system, which can provide 24-hour vital signs monitoring for all infants. It is home to an advanced neonatal respiratory support system, with more than 20 sets of different series of respiratory support systems such as  high-frequency ventilators, non-invasive ventilator, BIPAP positive pressure ventilators and HFNC. It also has an independent test support system, equipped with automatic multi-function blood gas electrolyte analyzers and other advanced facilities, which can provide 24-hour rapid test support. The department also has mild hypothermia therapy equipment, whole brain function monitors, transport incubators, brain function monitors, two-in-one rescue desks, Atom baby incubators, Atom radiation rescue beds, LED cold light source phototherapy devices, brainstem hearing screening instruments, T combination resuscitation instruments, transcranial bilirubin testers, NO inhaler system and other hardware facilities. Technical advantages

The SRRSH Neonatal Intensive Care Unit focuses on the safety and interests of children with standardized services. The advanced and strong medical technologies of the unit provide timely and effective intervention and treatment for all neonates with neonatal critical diseases except surgical diseases, especially in the prevention and treatment of neonatal resuscitation and asphyxia complications, nutrition management of premature infants, neonatal respiratory support, and prevention and treatment of infectious diseases. The treatment of premature infants, especially infants with very low birth weight and extremely low birth weight, has reached the level of developed countries. The comprehensive survival rate of extremely low birth weight infants with a gestational age of less than 28 weeks has reached more than 90%. At present, the minimum gestational age of preterm infants is 24 weeks and the minimum weight of preterm infants is 600 grams. At the same time, the neonatal intensive care unit also highly values humanistic care, encouraging parents of critically ill newborns to participate in the treatment and management directly, especially encouraging mothers to contact and breastfeed newborns. The exclusive breastfeeding rate of hospitalized children ranks first in China.
