This laid a solid foundation for our high-standard international management practices. Having achieved high-quality leapfrog growth in record time, SRRSH is now deemed one of the top hospitals in Zhejiang Province with the most comprehensive disciplines, cutting-edge technologies, and the highest degree of internationalization. We have ranked among the "first cohort" of national public hospitals in the shortest time and continue to lead the development of multiple areas, including reform of the medical and healthcare system, modern hospital management, minimally invasive medicine, international collaboration, smart healthcare, etc. SRRSH has been ranked A++ (top 1% in China) in the posted national tertiary public hospital performance evaluation for five consecutive years and was rated No.9 in 2022. Continuously building on the footprints of the past while embracing innovation, we have led the way in the "Internet + Healthcare" model. We were the first in China to realize the intelligent transformation of the whole process of medical services. "Mobile SRRSH" seamlessly integrates all links in medical services. We were also the first to enable fully mobile healthcare access for all insured patients, ensuring truly comprehensive coverage for every individual. We built the first domestic "cloud" hospital based on a real medical institution and launched the first blockchain medical application centered on a provincial public tertiary hospital nationwide. We created a new model of "Belt and Road" telemedicine cooperation based on the Internet. The first in Zhejiang Province to achieve medical insurance online settlement, we realized the application of medical insurance electronic certificates in the whole process of treatment. We took the lead in China in launching the Smart Assistant for Doctors based on large language models to make for closed-loop smart healthcare services, among other innovative progress. SRRSH has participated in the drafting of relevant documents for the State Council multiple times. We lead the development of minimally invasive surgery in China and beyond by integrating clinical practice with scientific research. Minimally invasive surgeries account for 80% of our total surgical procedures. We innovate multiple technologies and surgical techniques, open an era of ultra-remote robotic surgery, and build the first minimally invasive medicine discipline in China. We invented multiple surgical techniques including completely laparoscopic two-stage hemihepatectomy using round-the-liver ligation and stent-based intestinal anastomosis and intestinal diversion with a degradable stent. We filled multiple gaps both at home and abroad in the field of  5G ultra-remote robotic surgery. Minimally invasive technologies have been applied across major surgical fields including general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, head and neck surgery, orthopedics, thoracic surgery, and anorectal surgery. Furthermore, we have reached domestically leading and internationally advanced levels in several fields, such as minimally invasive medicine, assisted reproduction, and the diagnosis and treatment of low back pain, complex coronary artery disease, and atrial fibrillation.

We boast six National Clinical Key Specialties, one National Clinical Teaching and Training Demonstration Center, and over 20 important provincial and ministerial scientific research platforms. We have maintained an average annual growth rate of 20% in the number of research projects approved by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. We have won one National Innovation Award, one Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress, one Zhejiang Province Major Contribution to Science and Technology Award, one First Prize of Zhejiang Province Technical Invention Award, and seven First Prizes of Zhejiang Province Science and Technology Progress Award, among other significant achievements.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we invented the dual-utilization of clinical and epidemic wards, a design granted an invention patent by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the 2022 Zhejiang Provincial Reform Breakthrough Award. We successfully completed medical support tasks for the G20 Summit, the Asian Games, and the Asian Para Games. Actively advancing the “Mountain-Sea” Health Improvement Project, our branch campuses in Jiangshan, Deqing, and Wuyi ranked 3rd, 4th, and 6th, respectively, in the National Performance Evaluation of Secondary Public Hospitals. We established assistance partnerships with over 40 hospitals across Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Xinjiang, and other regions. Notably, we have extended the National Regional Medical Center project to Alaer, Xinjiang, to create scientific innovation hub for life and health in Southern Xinjiang and a medical excellence peak. This earned us recognition from the National Health Commission and the National Development and Reform Commission. At the same time, we have established exchanges and cooperation with top-ranked medical institutions worldwide, including Loma Linda University Health and Mayo Clinic, and Johns Hopkins Medicine in the United States.
