Biographical sketch

Dr. WANG Guanyu graduated from Zhejiang Medical University in 1991 with a bachelor's degree. From 1993 to 1998, he studied general surgery under the mentorship of renowned Chinese surgical experts, Academician QIU Fazu, Academician CHEN Xiaoping, and Professor WU Zaide, at Tongji Medical University, earning his doctorate in medicine. In 2005, he undertook a visiting fellowship at Loma Linda University Medical Center in the United States, and from 2008 to 2010, he conducted research on cancer metastasis mechanisms at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Wang has been dedicated to clinical practice, research, and teaching in general surgery. His clinical expertise focuses on the comprehensive treatment of digestive system malignancies, particularly hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers, such as liver cancer and pancreatic cancer, as well as laparoscopic surgery for various general surgical conditions. He has led or participated in numerous national and provincial medical research projects and has authored dozens of SCI-indexed papers.
