Biographical sketch
Dr. WANG Yifan graduated from Zhejiang University School of Medicine in 2008 and got his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees after 10 years of medical study, clinical training and medical research. He conducted postdoctoral research at the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) from 2012 to 2014.
His research focuses include minimally invasive surgery for hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases, liver regeneration and organoid construction, and cellular immunotherapy for malignant tumors. Over the past five years, he has published more than ten academic papers in journals such as Cell Stem Cell, Science Advances, Additive Manufacturing, and Biofabrication. He has led research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Zhejiang Provincial Key R&D Programs, and Major Projects of the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province. He is the recipient of the First Prize in the 2021 Zhejiang Provincial Technology Invention Awards (ranked second).
Currently he serves as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Laparoscopic, Endoscopic and Robotic Surgery, an international journal on minimally invasive surgery. He also holds key teaching positions as the Director of Medical English Education at the Third Clinical College of Zhejiang University and the Lead Instructor for Medical Chinese for international students.
