Dr. CAI Xiaoyan graduated from the seven-year clinical medicine program at Zhejiang University School of Medicine in 2000 and has worked at SRRSH ever since. She has been engaged in frontline clinical work in the Department of General Surgery and obtained a doctoral degree in 2012. She has completed further studies at the Lübeck University in Germany, the Hernia and Abdominal Wall Surgery Center of East China Hospital affiliated with Fudan University, and the General Surgery Department of Shizuoka Prefectural General Hospital in Japan. She has deep expertise in the field of hernia and abdominal wall surgery. She is skilled in the surgical treatment of hernia diseases such as inguinal hernia, incisional hernia, umbilical hernia, lumbar hernia, and paraostomy hernia, as well as abdominal wall tumors and diastasis of rectus abdominis. She has been responsible for provincial medical research projects and published several SCI or first-class journal papers in her field.
