Minimally invasive treatment of colorectal neoplasms, robotic and laparoscopic colorectal cancer surgery, sphincter-preserving low rectal cancer surgery, lateral lymph node dissection, and comprehensive treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer; hemorrhoids, fistula and colorectal polyps treatment, and transanal minimally invasive surgery.
Biographical sketch
In 2010, Dr. SONG Zhangfa received his doctoral degree from University of Ulm, Germany. After that, he completed advanced studies at Cleveland Clinic in the USA and Shizuoka Cancer Center in Japan.
Dr. Song has mainly engaged in the clinical practice, scientific research and teaching work of colorectal cancer, including minimally invasive surgery and comprehensive treatment of colorectal tumors. As one of the first surgeons to carry out robotic and laparoscopic colorectal surgery, he possessed rich surgical experience.
He published papers as the first author or corresponding author in the Science China Life Science, Cancer Research, Theranostics, Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy, Blood, Aging Cell, Neurology, Disease of Colon & Rectum, etc. He has been responsible for four projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and two major provincial projects.
