Dr. YU Hong graduated from Zhejiang Medical University with a degree in clinical medicine in 1995 and obtained a PhD in surgery from Zhejiang University School of Medicine. He completed visiting scholar programs at Loma Linda University Medical Center in 2006 and Mayo Clinic in 2013. Since 1995, he has worked in the Department of General Surgery at SRRSH, holding positions including resident physician, attending physician, deputy chief physician, and chief physician.

Dr. Yu specializes in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, liver transplantation, and severe acute pancreatitis, with extensive clinical and research expertise in these areas. He is proficient in the minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant hepatobiliary-pancreatic-splenic tumors and liver transplantation, with laparoscopic techniques at the forefront domestically.

He serves as the Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Key Laboratory for Precision Diagnosis and Treatment of Abdominal Infections and the Deputy Director of the Institute of Organ Transplantation at Zhejiang University. Dr. Yu has led numerous national and provincial research projects and published multiple SCI and Class I academic papers. His accolades include the National Science and Technology Progress Award (the Second Prize), the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (the First Prize), and the Zhejiang Provincial Technological Invention Award (the First Prize). He has also been recognized as a National Outstanding Communist Party Member, recipient of the "Bethune Medal for Good Doctors", and a leading talent in the Zhejiang Provincial "Ten Thousand Talents Plan" for scientific and technological innovation.
