WEI Huiyan is an international enterostomal therapist (ET) and a member of the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists (WCET). She has engaged in clinical diagnosis and treatment, teaching, and scientific research on wounds, ostomies, and incontinence for over a decade, skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of various ostomy complications and difficult-to-heal wounds (such as pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic foot, and atypical ulcers), as well as incontinence management. She has participated in many national and provincial medical research projects, led 7 departmental and bureau-level projects, and took part in 3 departmental and bureau-level projects. She published dozens of professional papers and obtained more than a dozen patents, including 1 invention patent and a patent adopted in clinical practice.
