Diagnosis and treatment of complex and critical cardiovascular diseases; minimally invasive interventional therapies for cardiovascular conditions, including heart valve disease, congenital heart disease, and coronary artery disease. Specific procedures performed include:
* Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
* Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Repair (TEER) for mitral and tricuspid valves
* Percutaneous closure procedures for Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO), Atrial Septal Defect (ASD), and Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA)
Biographical sketch
Dr. YU Feicheng graduated from Fuwai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences in 2007. He currently serves as the secretary of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital’s Heart Valve Intervention Center and Head of the Heart Valve Disease Subspecialty in the Cardiology Department. He specializes in structural heart disease, with extensive expertise in interventional therapies for heart valve disease. He leads the development of the subspecialty. Under his leadership, the Heart Valve Intervention Center was designated as one of the first Structural Heart Disease (Valvular Heart Disease) Interventional Training Bases by the National Health Commission in 2021, and certified as one of China’s first 12 “Heart Valve Disease Interventional Centers” in 2023, establishing it as a nationally influential center. He also serves as a trainer for TAVR and TEER procedures.
