Ge Xiaolong graduated from the 8-year MD program at Nanjing University School of Medicine in 2017, under the supervision of Academician Li Jieshou and Professor Li Ning. Ge Xiaolong completed his clinical postdoctoral fellowship at Zhejiang University School of Medicine in 2020, supervised by Academician Cai Xiujun. Ge Xiaolong has long been engaged in the surgical treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), chronic refractory constipation, gastrointestinal tumors, and radiation-induced intestinal injury. Ge Xiaolong also specializes in surgical nutritional support and gut microbiota therapy for critically ill patients with functional constipation, complex intestinal obstruction, complicated intestinal fistula, and intra-abdominal infection. Ge Xiaolong has presided over one project each from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a subproject of the National Key Research and Development Program, and the Provincial Natural Science Foundation. Ge Xiaolong has published more than 30 SCI papers as first author or corresponding author. Ge Xiaolong currently serves as a Youth Editorial Board Member of Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition and a Peer Review Expert of Chinese Journal of Colorectal Disease (Electronic Edition).
