Dr. Li graduated from the eight-year clinical medicine program at Zhejiang University School of Medicine in 2015, earning her M.D. and Ph.D. She then joined the Department of Cardiac Surgery at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine. Her clinical expertise includes management of critical cardiac conditions, diagnosis and treatment of rare heart diseases, surgical treatment of end-stage heart failure and pulmonary hypertension, minimally invasive surgery and comprehensive management of congenital heart disease, comprehensive treatment of great vessel diseases, and surgical treatment of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension.
She completed postdoctoral training at McGovern Medical School, UTHealth Houston, USA. Her long-term research focuses on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury, pulmonary hypertension, immune regulatory mechanisms of cardiomyopathy, and hypoxia signaling pathways. She also conducts clinical research on the prevention and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. Dr. Li has published over 10 papers as first author or co-author in journals such as JEM, FASEB, JCI Insight, FCM, and Nature. She is the principal investigator of several projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Provincial Natural Science Foundation.
