Since 1984, Dr. HU Hongjie, Director of the Department of Radiology, has dedicated 40 years to the field of medical imaging. He obtained both his master's and doctorate degrees from Zhejiang Medical University. Additionally, he pursued advanced studies at several prestigious hospitals in the United States, including Loma Linda University Medical Center, the Radiology Department of the Mayo Clinic, and the Interventional Radiology Department of the Cleveland Clinic. His research has primarily focused on cardiothoracic imaging, interventional imaging, nanomedicine, and artificial intelligence radiomics. Over the course of his career, he has published more than 100 academic papers. He has led three general projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, two major Science and Technology Special Programs in Zhejiang Province, one Outstanding Young Team Project under the Zhejiang Natural Science Foundation, and two major Science and Technology Programs in Zhejiang Medicine and Health (jointly established by Zhejiang and the Ministry). Additionally, he has participated in over ten national and provincial scientific research projects. His contributions have been recognized with the Second Prize of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award from the Zhejiang Government and the Second Prize of the Zhejiang Natural Science Award. Furthermore, he has served as an editor and contributor to various academic publications.
