Dr. SUN Leimin graduated from Zhejiang Medical University in 1993 and later obtained a PhD in internal medicine from Zhejiang University School of Medicine. She completed her postdoctoral training at the University of Luebeck Medical School in Germany and Roswell Park Cancer Center in the United States. Her main research focus is on the monitoring and follow-up of precancerous gastric lesions, particularly chronic atrophic gastritis. She specializes in endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration for the diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis and early pancreatic tumors. Dr. Sun is also proficient in the endoscopic management of gastrointestinal bleeding, such as peptic ulcers and variceal bleeding due to cirrhosis. She was among the first in the province to introduce radiofrequency ablation for the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis, Barrett's esophagus, and radiation enteritis. With extensive clinical experience, she is adept at diagnosing and treating complex gastrointestinal disorders and functional digestive diseases. Holding a national invention patent, she has led or participated in multiple national and provincial medical research projects and has published numerous professional papers. Dr. Sun has been awarded the prestigious "Qianjiang Talent" title in Zhejiang Province.
