Biographical sketch
Dr. CHEN Huaidong graduated from West China School of Medicine, Sichuan University in 2015 with an M.D. in clinical medicine. He was promoted to deputy chief physician in 2023, having completed fellowships at renowned medical centers in China such as the Xijing Hospital and Fuwai Hospital in Beijing.
He has primarily engaged in the surgical treatment of heart valve diseases, aortic diseases, coronary artery disease, congenital heart disease, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, and artificial hearts, with particular expertise in minimally invasive interventional cardiac surgery, including interventions for valvular heart disease, aortic diseases, and congenital heart disease. He has participated in numerous national and provincial medical research projects and published ten professional papers.
