Areas of focus:
Robot and laparoscopic-assisted surgery for colorectal, anal, and pelvic floor tumors, comprehensive treatment for advanced colorectal cancer, and diagnosis and treatment of postoperative defecation dysfunction in the rectum (LARS);
Surgical treatments for functional diseases such as constipation, pelvic floor dysfunction, and rectal prolapse;
Minimally invasive surgical treatment for anal diseases such as hemorrhoids, anal fistulas, and inflammatory bowel diseases.
Biographical sketch
Dr. LAO Weifeng graduated from the seven-year clinical medicine program in 2002 at Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and later obtained a PhD in oncology from Zhejiang University School of Medicine. He completed postdoctoral training in tumor biotherapy at the Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, Texas Tech University in the United States. He has mainly engaged in clinical, scientific research, and teaching work related to colorectal and anal diseases, including comprehensive treatment for colorectal cancer, colorectal polyps, benign and malignant tumors of the pelvic floor and anus, as well as surgical treatment for benign diseases such as hemorrhoids, anal fistula, rectal prolapse, constipation, etc. He has hosted or participated in multiple national and provincial key medical research projects and has published dozens of professional papers.
