Biographical sketch
As the Chief Assistant of the SRRSH Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. SHAN Zhi graduated with an M.D.degree from Zhejiang University School of Medicine in 2017 and studied as a visiting scholar at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. He has been primarily dedicated to clinical practice, scientific research, and educational endeavors, focusing on spinal trauma and degenerative conditions, encompassing the etiology and surgical interventions for degenerative diseases of the cervical and lumbar spine, spinal fractures, scoliosis, spinal tumors, and spinal infections. Additionally, he has conducted research on the biomechanical mechanisms of the spine. He has been in charge of multiple national and provincial medical research projects. As the first author or corresponding author, he has published over ten SCI research papers on JBJS-Am, JBMR, Spine, European Spine Journal, European Radiology, etc., and secured one national invention patent.
