After receiving a master's degree in oncology from Zhejiang Medical University in 1996, Dr. WANG Xian has worked in the Department of Oncology at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. In 2005, She received her PhD from University of Karlsruhe, Germany, and worked in the Department of Oncology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Since December 2009, She has worked in the SRRSH Department of Medical Oncology. She has been the Executive Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Oncology since 2020 (in charge of daily work).

She has engaged in clinical practice, scientific research and teaching in medical oncology for nearly 30 years, and has rich clinical experience in the prevention, diagnosis and differential diagnosis of various malignant tumors as well as the chemotherapy and molecular targeted drug therapy of malignant tumors. She is especially proficient in preoperative neoadjuvant therapy for breast cancer, postoperative adjuvant therapy and comprehensive treatment of advanced breast cancer. She has published more than 100 SCI papers, led and participated in more than 80 international and domestic multi-center clinical trials, and participated in the research of new drugs such as "Piperocilli", "pyrrotinib", "Eutidron", "dextrastuzumab" and "Goxstuzumab". She has been responsible for more than 10 projects above provincial and ministerial level, such as projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and major science and technology projects of Zhejiang Province. In 2015, She was awarded "Zhejiang Provincial Health High-level Innovative Talent".
