Biographical sketch
Dr. YANG Shuxu graduated from Zhejiang Medical University in 1995, obtained a master's degree in surgery from Zhejiang University in 2002, and earned a doctorate in medicine from the same university in 2009. From 2003 to 2004, he completed a visiting fellowship in neurosurgery at the University of Michigan. In 2011, he pursued further specialized training at both Loma Linda University's Department of Neurosurgery and the prestigious Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) in Phoenix. Throughout his career, he has remained deeply committed to clinical work in neurosurgery, where he has developed a strong foundation of medical knowledge and gained extensive hands-on experience.
His expertise lies in diagnosing and treating neurosurgical conditions such as intracranial tumors, intraspinal tumors, cerebrovascular diseases, hemifacial spasm, and trigeminal neuralgia, as well as managing severe traumatic brain injuries, especially in minimally invasive surgical techniques, with significant experience in procedures such as intracranial aneurysm clipping, skull base tumor surgery, and endoscopic removal of tumors in the sellar region. To date, he has published over 40 papers in reputable national and international journals and contributed to one book. In addition to his clinical and research work, he is also an active educator, teaching courses on Trauma and Perioperative Management in the General Surgery curriculum at Zhejiang University School of Medicine.
