Areas of focus:
Establishment and maintenance of hemodialysis vascular access for uremia, including the creation of autologous arteriovenous fistulas and synthetic vascular arteriovenous fistulas. Also experienced in fistula reconstruction, thrombolysis, thrombectomy, balloon angioplasty, and aneurysm removal, as well as catheter placement for peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis; perioperative care and post-transplant follow-up and management in kidney transplantation.
Biographical sketch
Graduating in 2010 from Zhejiang University School of Medicine with a PhD., Dr. XI Weiwei focused on the establishment and maintenance of hemodialysis vascular access for uremia, as well as the management of chronic kidney disease and kidney transplantation.
She has published seven SCI papers and served as the principal investigator of a Provincial Natural Science Foundation project. She has participated in several projects funded by the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province and the Provincial Health Commission Foundation.
