Dr. XU Huiming graduated in July 1984 from the clinical medicine program of the First Military Medical University with a bachelor of medicine degree. In December 1987, he transitioned to the Male Research Department of the Zhejiang Institute of Family Planning Science and Technology (now the Zhejiang Maternal, Child, and Reproductive Health Center), where he has engaged in research and clinical practice in andrology, male infertility, and male reproductive physiology to this day.

He has received two second prizes in the Medical Achievement Award from the People's Liberation Army, one second prize, and one third prize in the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Awards, and a third prize in the National Population and Family Planning Excellent Science and Technology Achievement Award during the 11th Five-Year Plan period. He has led and completed several projects funded by the Zhejiang Natural Science Foundation and published over 20 academic papers in domestic and international professional journals such as Hum Reprod, Andrologia, and Chinese Journal of Urology.
