Dr. WANG Jianbiao, M.D., senior attending of the Department of Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Wang specializes in thyroid surgery and parathyroid surgery, especially minimally invasive video-assisted thyroid surgery and neck scar-less endoscopic thyroidectomy. He provides treatment services including thyroid surgery, parathyroid surgery, minimally invasive video-assisted thyroidectomy and neck scar-less endoscopic thyroidectomy. He developed an effective technique for the in situ preservation of the inferior parathyroid gland during thyroidectomy plus central neck dissection, which was named "layer of thymus-blood vessel-inferior parathyroid gland" concept. He also developed the technique of locating normal parathyroid gland before thyroid surgery through ultrasonography. He completed a great number of cases of total thyroidectomy plus central neck dissection by "layer of thymus-blood vessel-inferior parathyroid gland" concept and location of the parathyroid gland through ultrasonography. The prevalence of transient and permanent hypoparathyroidism in his patients was the lowest in the world.
