After graduating from Zhejiang Medical University (the predecessor of Zhejiang University School of Medicine) in 1993, Dr. XIE Lei joined the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at SRRSH. In 2007, he obtained his doctorate in clinical stomatology from Zhejiang University School of Medicine. From 2004 to 2005, he studied head and neck surgery as a visiting scholar at Luebeck University Medical Center in Germany. With 30 years of experience in clinical practice, he is dedicated to minimally invasive reforms of traditional surgical approaches for thyroid, salivary gland, and maxillofacial fractures, emphasizing precision, minimal invasiveness, and aesthetics in surgical procedures. He has led or participated in several provincial and ministerial medical research projects and has received a second prize of the provincial Scientific and Technological Award as a key participant. He was awarded a gold medal for oral presentation at the Asia-Pacific academic meeting and has published dozens of high-level academic papers.
