Minimally invasive coronary interventions; the combination of intracoronary imaging and function to designate individualized treatment strategies; diagnosis and treatment of critical and complex coronary artery disease, such as acute myocardial infarction, calcified/bifurcated lesions, left main lesions, and chronic occlusive lesions; diagnosis and treatment of peripheral arteries such as carotid/subclavian/renal arteries and structural heart diseases such as atrial septal defects, patent foramen ovale, and arterial catheterization occlusion; research on the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension, heart failure and arrhythmia.
Biographical sketch
After graduating from Zhejiang University School of Medicine in 2009 with a seven-year undergraduate degree and a master's degree, Dr. XU Shengjie was guaranteed admission to the doctoral program and received his PhD in cardiovascular medicine from Zhejiang University School of Medicine in 2012. Dr. Xu is mainly engaged in clinical practice, scientific research and teaching of cardiovascular diseases such as coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, hypertension, heart failure, structural heart disease, etc. He specializes in comprehensive interventional therapy for coronary artery disease, including stable coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndrome, and high-risk complex coronary artery disease etc. He also specializes in the innovative interventional treatment of refractory hypertension. He has accumulated rich clinical experience in the treatment of structural heart disease and heart failure. He has been responsible for or participated in many national and provincial medical research projects and has published more than 20 SCI papers.
