Dr. LAI Dongwu graduated with a doctoral degree from Zhejiang University in 2010 and enriched his academic profile as a visiting scholar at Emory University in the United States. He has been selected for the provincial high-level talent support program. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Zhejiang Key Laboratory of Cardiovascular Intervention and Precision Medicine and the Engineering Research Center for Cardiovascular Innovative Devices of Zhejiang Province.

He specializes in interventional treatment of coronary heart disease, with extensive experience in standardized diagnosis and treatment of acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, refractory hypertension, valvular heart disease, syncope, and cardiovascular complications related to diabetes.

His research focuses on the mechanism of subcellular organelles interaction in heart disease, a field in which he has received support from three grants from the National Natural Science Foundation. His scholarly findings were published in leading scientific journals such as Circulation Research, Cell Research, and Cell Death & Disease.
