Hands-On Clinical Fellowship Program
Program Overview
Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, affiliated with Zhejiang University School of Medicine (hereinafter referred to as "SRRSH"), is one of China's top-tier comprehensive tertiary Class A hospitals, renowned both domestically and internationally for its minimally invasive surgery, smart healthcare, internationalized management, and high-quality medical care services. To promote international medical exchange and share China's advanced medical technologies and management experience, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital has established the Hands-On Clinical Fellowship Program. This program invites qualified physicians from around the world to participate in short-term or long-term clinical observation and skills training. It aims to build an international continuing education hub that is "based in Zhejiang, serving the Asia-Pacific, and benchmarking against Europe and America," providing a platform for evidence-based, safe, and certifiable short/medium and long term clinical practice training for mid-to-senior level specialists globally.

Application Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Hold a valid medical degree (MD or equivalent) recognized in your country/region.
- Hold a valid medical practice license issued by your country/region. (Requirements may be relaxed for applicants focusing on hospital management training.)
- Proficient in English communication (proficiency in Chinese is preferred).
- In good physical and mental health, capable of undertaking clinical duties.
Professional Qualifications
- For Hands-On Clinical Fellowship Program: Submit a detailed CV and a proposed observation/training plan. Must have completed basic medical education and provide proof of relevant specialty training (if applicable). For specialties such as Cardiology, Neuro-intervention, Robotic Surgery, and Minimally Invasive Surgery Training, applicants must provide materials (e.g., surgical/procedure records) demonstrating foundational competence.
Application Procedure
- Application Submission:Submit all required documents via email to the Center for International Collaboration, Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs (CIC) of SRRSH at wangmy@srrsh.com.
- Document Review & Interview:The hospital's expert panel reviews all applications. Online interviews will be arranged for Clinical Skills Training applicants.
- Admission Notice:Successful candidates will receive a formal "Admission Confirmation Letter" issued by the Hospital's Medical Affairs Department.
- Travel & Practice Documentation:The hospital will provide an invitation letter. Participants apply for a Chinese visa in their home country. The hospital will assist in obtaining the "Temporary License for Foreign Medical Practitioners to Practice in China."
- Agreement & Payment:The participant/sponsoring institution signs the "Training Guidelines and Agreement" with the hospital and pays the full fee.
- Registration & Enrollment:Report to the hospital's CIC and the Medical Affairs Department on the specified date to complete registration and orientation.
Program Fees
- Payment:Please be advised that the program are fee-based. The full fee must be paid upon arrival, before the training commencement.
- Payment Methods:Bank transfer or cash (RMB).
- Accommodation:The hospital provides accommodation recommendations at participant's expense.
- Refund Policy:Fees are non-refundable except in cases of force majeure.
Completion and Certification
Upon full completion of the training program, participants will be awarded the "Certificate of Completion for the Hands-On Clinical Fellowship Program " issued by Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, affiliated with Zhejiang University School of Medicine.
