International Training Program
Introduction
"Shaw Leadership for International Healthcare Executives" is an international platform established by Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital. It offers an immersive hospital management development program for current or prospective executives from overseas public/private hospitals, healthcare groups, and health administrative departments. With a core philosophy of "Eastern Wisdom × Western Methodology," the program systematically presents China's modern hospital management paradigm, cultivating strategic hospital leaders with global competence. It enables international participants to gain a profound understanding of the modern governance model of China's high-level public hospitals (the "Shaw Model") and fosters a "global hospital leadership network" for sustained exchanges, collaborative research, and business partnerships. The program is dedicated to enhancing global understanding of Chinese hospital management and contributing China's approaches to global health governance.
Courses
Duration: 2 days (One day for lectures and training, one day for hospital tour, departmental discussions, and Traditional Chinese Medicine cultural experience).

Application Requirements
- Current or prospective managers from overseas public/private hospitals, healthcare groups, or health administrative departments (an official recommendation letter from the participant's institution is required).
- Proficient in English communication (proficiency in Chinese is preferred).
Application Procedure
- Application Submission: Submit required documents via email to the Center for International Collaboration, Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs (CIC) (wangmy@srrsh.com) or through recommended partner organizations.
- Document Review: Application materials will be reviewed by the hospital's expert panel.
- Travel Documentation: Participants apply for a Chinese visa in their home country. The CIC will issue a formal invitation letter for the program.
- Payment: The participant or sponsoring institution must pay the full fee (via cash or bank transfer) prior to the course commencement.
- Registration & Enrollment: Report to the hospital's CIC on the specified date to complete on-site registration procedures.
Logistics Support
- Guidance on Chinese visa application and provision of invitation letters.
- Accommodation recommendations in Hangzhou (costs are borne by the participant).
- Working meals provided during the training days.
Program Duration & Fees
Please be advised that the program are fee-based. Applications are accepted year-round with rolling admissions. One session is planned annually, each lasting 2 days. The maximum class size is 15 participants; sessions with fewer than 15 may be canceled. The program is tentatively scheduled to commence in May.
Completion and Certification
Upon full completion of the training program, participants will be awarded the "Certificate of Completion in Hospital Management Training" issued by Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, affiliated with Zhejiang University School of Medicine.
