Minimally Invasive Surgery
International Training Program
Introduction
The Minimally Invasive Surgery Center of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, affiliated with Zhejiang University School of Medicine, stands as a pioneer and leader in China's field of minimally invasive surgery, consistently at the forefront of technological innovation. The center has not only amassed internationally recognized expertise in complex laparoscopic abdominal surgeries, such as those involving the liver and pancreas, but has also repeatedly pushed surgical boundaries through a series of original techniques—including the "CAI's ALPPS", the "Cavitron Ultrasonic Surgical Aspirator (CUSA) Assisted Hepatectomy," and the world's first "Stent-Based Intestinal Anastomosis and Diversion Technique." These contributions have left a distinctive "Shaw Hospital Imprint" on the global advancement of minimally invasive surgery.
To foster the worldwide sharing of these cutting-edge technologies and advanced concepts, we hereby launch the "Minimally Invasive Surgery International Training Program" of SRRSH. This program aims to systematically showcase our latest achievements in complex laparoscopic surgical techniques and innovations to the global surgical community.
