Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (SRRSH), affiliated with Zhejiang University School of Medicine, was established through the generous donation of Sir Run Run Shaw (a well-known Hong Kong businessman and philanthropist), along with matching funds from Zhejiang Government.

General Introduction

SRRSH International Healthcare Center (IHC) is the earliest medical center with independent space and available international medical services in Zhejiang province.

It is also one of the first medical centers to offer round-the-clock comprehensive health care in China. With a high reputation among foreigners and foreign-funded enterprises in Zhejiang province, the IHC of SRRSH has provided quality medical services for over 50,000 foreign patients from 180 countries and regions across the globe.

  • “Heart to Heart, Love Lasts Long” SRRSH Offers Public Services of International Diagnosis and Treatment for Difficult and Rare Diseases

    August 19 is the 6th China's Medical Workers' Day. On this special day, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, affiliated with Zhejiang University School of Medicine (hereinafter referred to as SRRSH) launched the “Heart to Heart, Love Lasts Long” program, a public welfare program of international diagnosis and treatment for difficult and rare diseases. It aims to further improve the domestic diagnosis and treatment capacity of difficult, severe, and rare diseases and benefit more patients and their families suffering from related diseases. It will provide public consultation services for relevant patients nationwide who meet the assistance requirements.

  • SRRSH-MCCN Hospital Management Training Course: a Boost to Quality Development for Hospitals

    On July 27 and 28, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (SRRSH), affiliated with Zhejiang University School of Medicine, joined hands with Mayo Clinic Care Network to hold a hospital management training course with a theme of leadership improvement. Dr. Richard Winters, director of Leadership Development at Mayo Clinic Care Network, delivered a personalized two-day in-person leadership development program with the support of manager Dylon Starr, attracting more than 100 leaders and department directors from SRRSH and other hospitals. The course sparked heated discussion and communication, followed by positive feedback from trainees.

  • The First Robotic Surgery Committee of Zhejiang Medical Doctors Association: An Exchange Platform with a Focus on Top Surgical Robots Based on Standardized Operational Norms

    On June 30, thanks to the organization of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (SRRSH), affiliated with Zhejiang University School of Medicine, the Robotic Surgery Committee of Zhejiang Medical Doctors Association was established under the guidance of Zhejiang Medical Doctors Association. Dr. CAI Xiujun, President of SRRSH, serves as the honorary chairman of the committee and Dr. YU Hong, Vice President of SRRSH, was elected the first director of it. On July 1, the first academic meeting of the Robotic Surgery Committee was held, followed by a week-long surgical presentation carried out by robots from several specialties on July 2.
