Skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of fecal incontinence, constipation, LARS, rectal prolapse, complex anal fistula, mixed hemorrhoids, pilonidal sinus, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, colorectal polyps, colorectal cancer, pelvic tumors and other diseases. Dr.Pan is particularly good at the standardized diagnosis, treatment and minimally invasive therapy of complex anorectal and pelvic floor diseases such as fecal incontinence, constipation, LARS, rectal prolapse and complex anal fistula. Dr.Pan takes a leading role in China in carrying out minimally invasive technologies including sacral neuromodulation (SNM) for LARS/fecal incontinence, laser treatment for anal fistula (FilaC), treatment of pilonidal sinus, and radiofrequency ablation for hemorrhoids. Meanwhile, Dr.Pan focuses on the clinical research and diagnosis and treatment practice of LARS.
Biographical sketch
Has been working at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang University School of Medicine since 2015, currently serving as Associate Chief Physician of the Department of Colorectal Surgery and Secretary of the Hospital's Pelvic Floor Center. Dr.Pan has long focused on the standardized diagnosis, treatment and minimally invasive therapy of complex diseases in the field of anorectal and pelvic floor surgery. Dr.Pan took the lead in carrying out minimally invasive sacral neuromodulation (SNM) for low anterior resection syndrome (LARS, a complex condition such as difficult defecation/fecal incontinence after rectal surgery) in Zhejiang Province. Proficient in various cutting-edge surgical techniques including minimally invasive surgery for hemorrhoids and fistulas, minimally invasive treatment of fecal incontinence, transanal minimally invasive surgery (Tamis), and laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery for colorectal tumors, Dr.Pan adheres to the core diagnosis and treatment concept of precise diagnosis, minimally invasive and painless procedures, so as to maximize the patient's safety, functional recovery and quality of life. Dr.Pan has published 5 academic papers in international professional journals such as SCI, holds 1 national invention patent, and presides over/participates in 4 projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation. Dr.Pan continuously translates cutting-edge scientific research achievements into clinical diagnosis and treatment capabilities to provide patients with more scientific diagnosis and treatment plans.
