Biographical sketch
Dr. ZHOU Jiaqiang graduated with a bachelor's degree from the Medical Department of Zhejiang Medical University in 1992, and furthered his education by obtaining a master's degree in Endocrinology from the same university in 1995. His academic journey culminated with a medical doctorate from the University of Lübeck in Germany in 2002. He received short-term training at Mayo Clinic and the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in the United States.
He has mainly engaged in clinical practice, teaching, and research in the field of endocrine and metabolic diseases. He is particularly adept at utilizing advanced technologies such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems for the management of brittle diabetes. Additionally, he has specialized expertise in the etiological diagnosis of rare endocrine and metabolic diseases. His research particularly focuses on understanding the pathogenesis of obesity and diabetes, as well as developing comprehensive strategies for their prevention and treatment. He has published dozens of academic papers and led more than ten scientific research projects, including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and provincial natural science key projects.
