Dr. ZHANG Deguang graduated from Zhejiang University School of Medicine with a doctorate. He provides treatment services including minimally invasive video-assisted thyroidectomy, central neck dissection, lateral neck dissection and superior mediastinum dissection; neck scarless endoscopic thyroidectomy, central neck dissection and lateral neck dissection; parotidectomy; and submandibular gland resection.

He boasts the creation of an airless endoscopic thyroid surgery system, including the research and development of an integrated surgical instrument platform, the establishment of a surgical operation space, and a series of improvements and innovations in the surgical operation process.

The creation has been widely recognized and promoted in the domestic academic community. Details are as follows:

1. Establish the surgical procedures and specifications of the modified Miccoli endoscopic-assisted lateral cervical lymph node dissection.

2. The world's first to apply endoscopic-assisted technology, thoracoscopy technology, and endoscopic-assisted combined thoracoscopic technology in mediastinal lymph node dissection for thyroid malignant tumors, and establish a technical system for mediastinal lymph node dissection on laparoscopy.

3. For the first time in the world, the upper mediastinal lymph node division method for thyroid malignant tumors is proposed, which provides a reference for surgeons to choose different surgical approaches and surgical methods.

4. The first in China to apply endoscopic-assisted technology to the dissection of parapharyngeal lymph nodes in thyroid malignant tumors.

5. The first in China to use the non-inflatable retractor suspension method to build a cavity through the oral vestibular approach for endoscopic thyroid surgery.

6. The world's first to use the non-inflatable retractor suspension method to build a cavity through the combined submental vestibular approach for endoscopic thyroid surgery.

7. Improve the non-inflatable transaxillary approach endoscopic thyroid surgery instruments and simplify the required special surgical instruments.

8. Improve non-pneumatic trans-subclavian approach for endoscopic thyroid surgery.
