Biographical sketch
Dr. ZHANG Wenbin obtained his Ph.D. in cardiovascular medicine from Fudan University. He was a postdoctoral fellow in cardiovascular medicine at Columbia University. At present, he is a chief physician, doctoral supervisor, and professor at Zhejiang University. Committee Member of the Party Committee of SRRSH, Dr. Zhang is also the Secretary of the First Joint Party Branch of Cardiology Medical Staff and the Deputy Director of the Department of Human Resource.
With extensive experience in diagnosing and treating common and critical cardiovascular conditions, he specializes in interventional therapy for complex coronary artery disease, resistant hypertension, and heart failure, having independently performed thousands of coronary interventional procedures, with an annual volume exceeding 700 cases. He possesses extensive expertise in imaging-guided coronary interventions, complex radial artery coronary interventions, and chronic total occlusion (CTO) interventions. As a principal investigator of 18 research grants, including three from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and three from the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, he published nearly 70 articles in SCI journals as the first author or corresponding author.
