Two Mayo Clinic Experts Visited SRRSH

On December 20, 2017, two Mayo Clinic experts visited Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital (SRRSH), of which Dr. Raymond Pak is a Senior Associate Consultant of Urology Dept. and Dr. Paldeep Atwal is an Clinical and Medical Biochemical Geneticist. They had fruitful academic exchanges with SRRSH staff from different departments.

Dr. Pan Hongming, M.D, Vice President of SRRSH, extended warm welcome to two Mayo experts and introduced briefly about SRRSH. Then Dr. Raymond Pak and Dr. Paldeep Atwal respectively made a presentation entitled “Future Robotic and Endoscopic Surgery Platforms” and “Genomic & Personalized Medicine”.

Later, directors of SRRSH’s Urology Surgery, Medical Oncology, Biomedical Research Center, Clinical Laboratory and Research and Education Dept., successively introduced their work highlights, shared plenty of surgical cases and discussed many academic topics with Dr. Pak and Dr. Atwal.

With this productive meeting, SRRSH will deepen cooperation with Mayo Clinic and have more personnel and academic exchanges in robotic surgery and genomic medicine in the future.
