We built the first domestic "cloud" hospital based on a real medical institute and launched the first blockchain medical application centered on a provincial public tertiary hospital nationwide. We created a new model of "Belt and Road" telemedicine cooperation based on the Internet. The first in Zhejiang province to achieve medical insurance online settlement, we realized the application of medical insurance electronic certificate in the whole process of treatment. Moreover, we were the first in the country to roll out commercial insurance's "zero-perception claims" service based on blockchain and launch smart assistants for doctors based on large language models. SRRSH has participated in the drafting of relevant documents for the State Council many times. In 2019, SRRSH's practice was promoted across the nation by the leading group of the State Council for deepening the reform of the medical and health system in the form of special issue.

We have been building three national regional medical centers, one National Engineering Research Center for Minimally Invasive Instrument Innovation and Application, one National Proton Radiation Therapy Center, six National Key Clinical Specialties, one National Clinical Teaching and Training Demonstration Center, and over 20 important provincial and ministerial scientific research platforms. SRRSH has received scientific research funds worth over 100 million RMB each year for two years. We have witnessed the number of our research projects approved by the National Natural Science Foundation of China maintaining an average annual growth rate of 20% and a frequent appearance of high-quality academic papers. We boast 250 invention patents, 1462 utility model patents, 34 industrial design patents, and 15 translational achievements in medicine, engineering, and information. We have won one National Innovation Award, one Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, one Zhejiang Province Major Contribution to Science and Technology Award, one First Prize of the Zhejiang Province Technical Invention Award, and seven First Prizes of Zhejiang Province Science and Technology Progress Award, among other significant achievements.

We innovate multiple technologies and surgical techniques, open an era of ultra-remote robotic surgery, and build the first minimally invasive medicine discipline in China. We fill the blanks in a number of areas nationwide, e.g. multiple surgical techniques including completely laparoscopic two-stage hemihepatectomy using round-the-liver ligation, original achievements such as stent-based intestinal anastomosis and intestinal diversion with a degradable stent, and 5G ultra-remote robotic surgery. Furthermore, we reach domestically leading and internationally advanced levels in several fields, such as minimally invasive medicine, assisted reproduction, and the diagnosis and treatment of low back pain, complex coronary artery disease, and atrial fibrillation.

We actively push ahead with the "Shanhai Enhancement" Project by establishing a helping relationship with more than 40 hospitals in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Xinjiang; create a scientific innovation platform in life and health in south Xinjiang by building the National Regional Medical Center in Alaer, Xinjiang. At the same time, we have established exchanges and cooperation with top-ranked medical institutions worldwide, including Loma Linda University Health, Mayo Clinic, and Johns Hopkins Medicine in the United States. Making the utmost of our internationalization strength, we are marching towards a leading hospital in the world as the first choice for the rotation and training of overseas medical students and residents in China. Moreover, we established the Belt and Road Minimally Invasive Medicine Academy to share our latest innovations in the discipline with international counterparts.
