Nursing
Overview
The SRRSH Department of Nursing integrates advanced international nursing philosophies with the essence of Chinese and Western healthcare cultures. Over three decades of development, guided by a patient-centered holistic nursing model, the department has established the unique "SRRSH Nursing Model", driven by the goal of high-quality care, systematic nurse training programs, and a supportive work environment. This model has achieved significant milestones in nursing management, education, research, and specialized clinical care, fostering a compassionate and highly skilled nursing team.
In January 2014, the department was designated as a National Key Clinical Specialty Construction Project (2013-2014) by the Ministry of Health. Eighteen specialties, including operating room, diabetes, wound/ostomy care, intravenous therapy, ICU, gynecology, IVF, ERAS, pain management, ophthalmology, orthopedics, cardiovascular care, respiratory care, emergency medicine, endoscopy, rehabilitation, palliative care, and infectious diseases, were recognized as Zhejiang Provincial Training Bases for Specialty Nurses. Among these, nursing management, diabetes, critical care, wound/ostomy/incontinence, palliative care, intravenous therapy, and pain management serve as clinical teaching bases outside Beijing for the Chinese Nursing Association.
The department operates specialized outpatient clinics, including Intravenous Therapy Care, Complex Wound/Ostomy Care, Diabetes Education, and Breastfeeding Consultation. On March 22, 2019, the hospital became the first in China to achieve Magnet Recognition, a global benchmark for nursing excellence. Additional honors we have received include the National May 1st Women's Pacesetter Award (April 2021), the Zhejiang Provincial Women's Civilization Post (May 2022), and the National Women's Civilization Post (March 2023).
