Biographical Sketch
Si Jianmin, M.D., M.D. and Ph.D. Supervisor, Professor and Chief Physician of the Gastroenterology Department. Dr. Si specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer and precancerosis, detection technology of cancer, and prevention treatment for early cancer. Engaged in clinical medical treatment, teaching and research work for nearly 40 years, he has developed a unique technology with endoscopy being used in the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases by blocking the progress of gastrointestinal cancers in particular. He has held more than 30 important medical research projects, earned more than 10 national or provincial awards, written 10-odd books in medicine and published more than 300 articles in gastroenterological fields. Meanwhile, he obtained the patents for marking targeting biopsy and computer simulation marking targeting biopsy in the surveillance of precancerous disease. In the last decade, he has also put great efforts into clinical evaluation, diagnosis and individual intervention of senescence syndrome and aging-related gastrointestinal diseases.
