Overview

The Endoscopy Center of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital consists of 2 parts——Qingchun branch center(Building 7, Phase 5) and qiantang branch center(flour 3, building 6), with 30 diagnosis and treatment rooms. The endoscopy Center is composed of Gastroenterology, Respiratory medicine, Anorectal surgery, General surgery, General practice and Anesthesiology, etc. It mainly provides endoscopy and treatment for patients over 14 years old with digestive and respiratory diseases and healthy physical examination. Each year, more than 150,000 cases of endoscopic treatment in our endoscopy center are received, including more than 80,000 cases of gastroscopy, 60,000 cases of colonoscopy, 1400 cases of ERCP, 1000 cases of ESD, 3000 cases of EUS, and 4000 cases of tracheoscopy and treatment. The Center has rich experience in endoscopy and treatment, and can carry out almost all the endoscopic diagnosis and treatment work in the world at present.

The endoscopy center has international advanced diagnosis and treatment equipment and technology, equipped with advanced endoscopy host system, ultrasound host system, Siemens/Philips digital gastrointestinal special radiology machine, biliary tract endoscopy (SpyGlass), capsule endoscopy equipment, automatic cleaning and disinfection machine, Endoscopy efficient clean storage system, endoscopy cleaning traceability system, etc., and has all kinds of soft endoscopes for examination and treatment and related accessories.

The Endoscopy Center team has abundant experience in the diagnosis and treantment of gastrointestinal tumor-related diseases such as early gastrointestinal cancer, gastrointestinal submucosal mass, gastrointestinal precancerous lesions, choledocholithiasis, various biliary strictures and dilatation, pancreatic space occupation, acute and chronic pancreatitis, liver cirrhosis, fatty liver, autoimmune liver disease and other hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases, as well as bronchoscopy and interventional respiratory diseases. The team also have domestic advanced level in the diagnosis and treatment of biliary and pancreatic diseases under endoscopy, such as pancreaticobiliary papillary sphincterotomy for choledocholithiasis, pancreaticobiliary diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant biliary and pancreatic strictures, EUS interventional diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases, endoscopic treatment of esophagogastric varices and internal hemorrhoids, and interventional respiratory disease treatment. The team's ESD, ERCP, esophageal variceal treatment and other procedures, as well as DRGS data for diseases such as Crohn's disease, have always been maintained the first-tier in the province. Respiratory endoscopy：

Fluorescence bronchoscopy and ultrasound bronchoscopy are equipped for EBUS-TBNA, EBUS-GS and other EUS operations and medical thoracoscopy. At the same time, respiratory endoscopy is equipped with the first confocal microscopy host department in the province. The DSA operating room is equipped with the latest intelligent angiography system, thoracic and pulmonary DynaCT imaging technology, which can be used for pulmonary angiography and interventional therapy, bronchopulmonary navigation, which can accurately lock and obtain lesions. Equipped with a separate ROSE workstation, it is convenient for the fastest bedside rapid pathological evaluation, optimizes the quality of tissue sampling, improves the accuracy of disease diagnosis, and realizes rapid and standardized diagnosis of benign and malignant respiratory diseases.

Education and training

The endoscopy center attaches great importance to teaching and has long been responsible for the teaching of eight-year, five-year, international students and undergraduate medical students in Zhejiang University School of Medicine. Departments such as Gastroenterology and General Surgery receive advanced endoscopy doctors from all over the country every year, and hold various endoscopy-related further education classes every year, which have been well received by advanced healthcare workers and welcomed by primary hospitals. As a training practice base for specialized nurses in endoscopic nursing in Zhejiang Province, the nursing unit of the endoscopy center receives advanced students, specialized nurses and interns in endoscopic nursing from all over the country every year.

The Respiratory Endoscopy Center is the national PCCM respiratory intervention single repair base, as well as the respiratory endoscopy physician training base of the Chinese Medical Association, and the national four-level respiratory endoscopy diagnosis and treatment technology training base. At present, it has internationally advanced simulation electronic models and computer simulation endoscopy facilities, which can build different types of basic clinical skills training platforms, conduct all-round practical skills training and assessment, and meet the basic and advanced training of respiratory intervention diagnosis and treatment technology.
