Advocate "patient-centered" service to make patients feel more comfortable when seeking medical treatment:

SRRSH fosters a distinctive humanistic care culture by putting patients and staff first. Creating a patient-centered medical safety culture, a patient-centered efficient operation culture, a patient-centered "hospital of the future" design plan, a patient-centered culture of quality nursing and patient practice, and constructing a hospital with humanistic care are all in line with the principles of "treating patients, not just diseases," "patients are whole individuals," and "healthcare providers must be health advocates." Its guiding principles of "doctors also need to be cared for" and "doctors and nurses need to support and care for each other" foster an employee-oriented culture of training, encouragement, support, and care, earning it the title of "Best Employer in the Healthcare Industry" for eight years in a row.

  • The hospital is the first to implement the "medical street" model, which emphasizes continuity and integration of services. It integrates comprehensive service models like "one-stop" emergency treatment, "one-stop" service, "one-stop" examination, and "one-stop" admission and discharge. Additionally, the pre-operative "one-stop" examination includes a consultation for pre-operative anesthesia. It is the first to argue for MDT plus subspecialty diagnosis and treatment as well as multidisciplinary comprehensive diagnosis and treatment (MDT).

SRRSH comprehensively improves the diagnosis and treatment capabilities of difficult and rare diseases.

Using its advantage as the only public hospital in China to join the Mayo Clinic Care Network, it has offered remote consultation medical services like written consultation (eConsult) and multidisciplinary tumor joint seminars (eTumor Boards) to hundreds of patients with rare and challenging diseases, thereby meeting the patients' diverse and high-standard medical needs to the greatest extent possible. In addition, the design philosophy of "design first + humanistic care + win-win utilization of clinical and epidemic wards" changes the way medical facilities are often constructed.

  • SRRSH focuses on the positive aspects that help people, encourages GP nurses to provide professional nursing care, promotes comprehensive health education and doctor-patient contact, consistently enhances patients' perceptions of the benefits of medical treatment, and warms medical services.

Advocate the "employee-oriented" concept and promote sustainable development of the hospital:

Adhering to the "employee-oriented culture of training and motivation, caring and helping", we combine the "attracting, educating, employing and retaining talents" strategy to continuously optimize the talent development environment.

The stratified assessment and "full-staff employment system" are implemented. As the first general hospital in the province, we have developed a comprehensive talent development channel, implemented the RBRVS performance management system, and innovated the in-hospital professional title evaluation and appointment method. At the same time, we support "letting professionals do professional things" and are the first in China to create new medical positions including clinical pharmacists, respiratory therapists, rehabilitation therapists, advanced practice nurses, and dental hygienists.

  • SRRSH provides a "President's Mailbox" on each campus, shows concern for its staff, and responds to employee satisfaction surveys, among other things.   • In addition to exporting the national regional medical center project to Alaer, Xinjiang, and developing a "medical peak" and a life and health science and technology innovation highland in southern Xinjiang, SRRSH is actively promoting the "Shanhai Enhancement" project and forming assistance relationships with more than 40 hospitals in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Xinjiang, and other regions.
