  The hospital has the first Minimally Invasive Medicine discipline in China, the first National Engineering Research Center for the Innovation and Application of Minimally Invasive Devices in China, and the only Minimally Invasive Medicine doctoral degree program in China. For many years, the number of single-machine robot operations has been among the greatest in the nation. This has also fueled advancements in minimally invasive technology in internal medicine specialties including interventional and endoscopic clinics.

  In the areas of minimally invasive hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and gastrointestinal surgery, lower back pain diagnosis and treatment, assisted reproduction, and the diagnosis and treatment of complex coronary heart disease and atrial fibrillation, it has advanced to both domestic and international leadership levels.

  Together with the Xinjiang Alaer Hospital, the hospital spearheaded the establishment of the Zhejiang Medical Association's Robotic Surgery Committee in 2023. It also pioneered the use of 5G technology and domestic surgical robots over thousands of miles, performing the first domestic 5G ultra-long-distance domestic robot cholecystectomy and the first 5G ultra-long-distance domestic robot-assisted liver resection surgery in history. These actions expanded the scope of remote diagnosis and treatment applications.
